Title: India stocks higher at close of trade; Nifty 50 up 0.69%

Indian stocks acquired later the market shut on Thursday as gains in the realty area, public area organizations, and the oil and gas area drove stocks higher.
At the nearby on the NSE, the Nifty 50 was up 0.69 percent while the BSE Sensex 30 file was up 0.68 percent.
Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd was the best performer in the Nifty 50, up 3.67% and 7.40 points, respectively, at 208.95 at the close of trade. In late trade, Indian Oil Corporation Ltd gained 2.84% or 3.10 points to close at 112.15 while Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Ltd gained 2.70% or 3.70 points to 140.50 in late trade.
Divi's Laboratories Ltd was the worst performer, falling 1.86% or 85.00 points to close at 4478.50 in late trade. JS Steel Ltd fell 1.63% or 10.75 points to close at 650.25 while Bharti Airtel Ltd slipped 0.88% or 6.00 points to 678.75.
Top performers on the BSE Sensex 30 included Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd, up 3.40 percent at 208.40, ITC Ltd, up 2.48 percent at 217.30, and Bajaj Finance Ltd, up 2.12 percent at 6917.50.
Bharti Airtel Ltd was the worst performer, falling 0.93 percent to 678.50 in late trade, Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd lost 0.80 percent to close at 790.70 and Maruti Suzuki India Ltd fell 0.57 percent to 7384.60 at the close.
On the Indian National Stock Exchange, rising stocks outweighed falling ones by 1144 to 628, and 46 ended unchanged; on the Bombay Stock Exchange, 2121 stocks rose while 1097 fell and 132 ended unchanged.
The Indian VIX, which measures the implied volatility of Nifty 50 options, fell 4.55% to 15.8250.
