Title: Saudi Arabia stocks higher at close of trade; Tadawul All Share up 0.96%

Saudi Arabian stocks rose after the close on Wednesday as gains in the media and publishing, transportation, and cement sectors led shares higher.


At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share gained 0.96%, reaching a new five-year high.


Knowledge Economic City was the best performer on the Tadawul All Share, rising 7.76% or 1.34 points to trade at 18.60 at the close. Meanwhile, Mouwasat Medical Services Company gained 5.50 per cent, or 10.00 points, to close at 191.80 and Saudi Industrial Investment Group rose 4.06 per cent, or 1.30 points, to 33.30 in late trade.


At the close of trading, Amana Cooperative Insurance Co was the worst performer, falling 2.51%, or 0.85 points, to close at 33.05. Saudi Tadawul Group Holding Co fell 2.39%, or 3.40 points, to 111.00, while Saudi Tadawul Group Holding Co rose 2.46%, or 2.80 points, to 139.00.


On the Saudi Arabian bourse, advancers outweighed decliners with a ratio of 140 to 65, and 17 stocks ended unchanged.


Crude oil for delivery in February rose 1.13%, or 0.92, to $82.14 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodity trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 0.65% or 0.54 to $84.26 a barrel, while the February gold futures contract rose 0.08% or 1.50 to settle at $1820.00 a troy ounce.


EUR/SAR rose 0.30% to 4.2785, while USD/SAR fell 0.01% to 3.7535.

US dollar index futures fell 0.29% to 95.350.
