Title: Australia stocks higher at close of trade; S&P/ASX 200 up 0.10%

Australian stocks rose after the close on Monday as equities rose in the gold, financials, and consumer goods sectors.
At the close of trading in Sydney, the S&P/ASX 200 index was up 0.10%.
Graincorp Ltd was the best performer in the S&P/ASX 200 index, rising 6.75%, or 0.62 points, to close at 9.81 points.Meanwhile, Perseus Mining Ltd added 4.76%, or 0.09 points, to end at 1.87 and Westgold Resources Ltd rose 4.51%, or 0.08 points, to close at 1.86 in late trading.
A2 Milk Company Ltd was the worst performer during the session, falling 5.36%, or 0.27 points, to trade at 4.77 at the close of trade. Polynovo Ltd fell 4.98%, or 0.06 points, to close at 1.05 and 5.02%, or 0.08 points, to close at 1.42.
On the Sydney Stock Exchange, declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 845 to 574, and 433 ended unchanged.
Shares in Graincorp Ltd. rose to a three-year high, gaining 6.75%, or 0.62 points, to 9.81 points. A2 Milk Company, Ltd. shares fell to a 3-year low, down 5.36%, or 0.27 points, to 4.77 points.
The S&P/ASX 200 VIX index, which measures the implied volatility of S&P/ASX 200 options, increased 3.45% to 12.54 points.
Gold futures for June delivery fell 0.07%, or 1.30%, to $1,944.30 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, the crude oil contract for May delivery fell 2.49%, or 2.45, to $95.81 a barrel, while the June Brent crude oil contract fell 2.34%, or 2.40, to trade at $100.38 a barrel.
The AUD/USD exchange rate remained unchanged at 0.74, while the AUD/JPY exchange rate rose 0.43% to 93.07.
US dollar index futures contracts rose 0.05% to 99.81.
