Title: Australia stocks lower at close of trade; S&P/ASX 200 unchanged

Australian shares edged down after the closing bell on Tuesday, with sectors topping the equities.


At the close in Sydney, the S & P/ASX 200 was flat at 0 %.


The best performers on the S&P/ASX 200 were Pointsbet Holdings Ltd, which was flat at 0% or 0 points at a close of 3.81. Meanwhile, Nuix Ltd traded flat at 0% or 0 points to end at 1.30, while EML Payments Ltd was flat at 0% or 0 points to end at 2.44 in late trading.


The worst performer was Perseus Mining Ltd, which was flat at 0% or 0 points to end at 1.630 in late trade. Zip Co Ltd was flat at 0% or 0 points to end at 2.14, and Ramelius Resources Ltd fell 0% or 0 points to 1.550.


On the Sydney Stock Exchange, advancing shares outnumbered falling ones by 922 to 526, and 351 finished flat.


Zip Co Ltd shares were flat from their 52-week lows, down 0 percent or 0 at 2.14.

The S& P/ASX 200 VIX, which measures the underlying implied volatility of S& P/ASX 200 options, was flat at 0% at 17.501.


Gold futures for April delivery gained 0.63%, or 12.05, to $1911.85 per troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, crude oil for supply in April jumped 3.68%, or 3.32, to $93.53 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract increased 2.10%, or 1.95, to $94.94 a barrel.


AUD/USD was flat by 0% at 0.7206, while AUD/JPY was steady by 0% at 82.68.


US dollar index futures were 0.10% stronger at 96.112.
